Partial coupling delay induced multiple spatiotemporal orders in a modular neuronal network
The influence of partial coupling delay on the spatiotemporal spiking dynamics is explored in a modular neuronal network. The modular neuronal network is composed of two subnetworks which present the small-world property and scale-free property, respectively. Numerical results show that spatiotemporal order that the modular network is most coherent in time and nearly synchronized in space can e...
متن کاملDelay-induced multiple stochastic resonances on scale-free neuronal networks.
We study the effects of periodic subthreshold pacemaker activity and time-delayed coupling on stochastic resonance over scale-free neuronal networks. As the two extreme options, we introduce the pacemaker, respectively, to the neuron with the highest degree and to one of the neurons with the lowest degree within the network, but we also consider the case when all neurons are exposed to the peri...

Example 1.1. Let m = 7. The following table shows that the first time a nonzero number mod 7 has a power congruent to 1 varies. While Fermat’s little theorem tells us that a6 ≡ 1 mod 7 for a 6≡ 0 mod 7, we see in the table that the exponent 6 can be replaced by a smaller positive exponent for 1, 2, 4, and 6. k 1 2 3 4 5 6 1k mod 7 1 2k mod 7 2 4 1 3k mod 7 3 2 6 4 5 1 4k mod 7 4 2 1 5k mod 7 5 ...
متن کاملPartial Orders Induced by Quasilinear Clones
We find sufficient conditions for a subclone C of Burle’s clone and for a subclone of the polynomial clone of a finite semimodule to have the property that the associated C-minor partial order has finite principal ideals. We also prove that for these clones the C-minor partial order is universal for the class of countable partial orders whose principal ideals are finite.

Let r be a fixed positive integer. It is shown that, given any partial orders >1, . . ., >r on the same n-element set P , there exist disjoint subsets A,B ⊂ P , each with at least n1−o(1) elements, such that one of the following two conditions is satisfied: (1) there is an i (1 ≤ i ≤ r) such that every element of A is larger than any element of B in the partial order >i, or (2) no element of A ...
